Orenga de Gaffory

From the impossibly beautiful island of Corsica, this class winery was created in 1966 by Pierre Orenga de Gaffory and run since 1974 by his son, Henry. The domaine has 56 hectares of vines spread across a variety of different terroirs and five of the seven communes of the appellation of Patrimonio. Most of the soils are clay-limestone with gravels and schist. In 2016 Orenga de Gaffory began the process of converting to organic viticulture. One of the reference points for the appellation, these wines are characterised by their aromatic concentration and their balanced structure,an enormously pleasing fusion of richness and freshness.
